Everest Base Camp Trek

from € 3300

"We will take the mythical path, through sherpa villages and cities, staying at storied teahouses, where pioneers planned the impossible and in whose footsteps we follow to the world’s most famous starting point

A journey here is not simply of the physical, but at once emotional, historical and spiritual. Flags in bright colours honour those whose spirit flies amongst the clouds and carries us on our journey toward the great, revered Chomolungma (mother goddess of the earth), whom we now call Everest."

FAQs
  1. What measures are in place to ensure the safety of participants during the tour?

Tour guides often implement various safety measures to protect participants. These may include providing safety briefings, ensuring participants wear appropriate gear (e.g., helmets for biking tours), maintaining a safe distance from wildlife in outdoor tours, and having emergency plans in place for unforeseen circumstances.

  2. What should I do if the weather conditions are not favorable for the tour?

As a tour guide, it's important to prioritize the safety and comfort of your guests. If the weather conditions are not suitable for the planned tour, consider alternative activities or routes that can still provide a fulfilling experience. Communicate openly with your guests about the situation and any changes to the itinerary.

  3. What is the policy for cancellations and refunds?

It's essential for tour guides to have clear policies regarding cancellations and refunds. This includes details on cancellation deadlines, refund amounts (partial or full), and any exceptions or conditions that may apply. Communicate these policies transparently to guests when they book the tour to avoid misunderstandings later on.

Several friends and I took a 12-day hike to Everest Basecamp with Citizens of the Wild in Oct 2022 and had a truly awesome experience. Killian and Tomás and their Sherpa and local guide team were thoroughly professional and looked after us from when we booked our trip (including travel, training & kit advice and video-briefing before the trip), through our arrival and stay in Kathmandu until we left Nepal two weeks later, introducing us not just to the breath-taking beauty of the Khumbu valley but, by bringing us on a road less travelled, allowing us to experience the remarkable culture of Nepal and its people. A true life experience - I cannot recommend the trip and Citizens of the Wild highly enough.
