Citizens of the Wild × Chamonix Snowshoe — guided winter adventures

LOCAL ROOTS. A WIDER WORLD.

Belong to the wild.

Chamonix Snowshoe is the winter side of Citizens of the Wild: thoughtful, guide-led adventures built around place, people and a real connection to the outdoors.

Your guide is Killian Buckley, an International Mountain Leader who has called the Chamonix valley home for around a decade. Expect local knowledge, an easy conversation and a day that feels personal.

GOOD TO KNOW

Come ready.
We’ll take care of the day.

What’s included in the price?

Your private guide, Tubbs snowshoes, poles and Citizens of the Wild hot chocolate. Prices are totals for a group of 1–7, not per person. Lift passes for HIGH, refuge meals and drinks for ADVENTURE, and transport outside your local entitlement are extra.

Do I need experience?

No previous snowshoe experience is needed for WILD; we’ll talk through your hiking experience and choose a suitable pace. HIGH involves walking in mountain terrain. ADVENTURE is a longer, more demanding day for people with good hiking fitness. If you’re unsure, choose “Help me decide” in your enquiry.

What should I bring?

Warm layers, a waterproof jacket and trousers, gloves, a hat, sunglasses or goggles, suitable winter walking boots, water and a small backpack. Bring food for a full day; refuge lunch is only possible when open. We’ll confirm the practical details with you.

Can we bring children?

All outings are private, so we can discuss your family’s pace and experience. Include children’s ages in your enquiry. We’ll advise on the most suitable outing and equipment before confirming.

What happens after an enquiry?

We check the date, conditions and suitability, then agree the outing and any extras with you. Payment details and booking terms follow before confirmation. An enquiry does not reserve a date.
